New Life for Women has helped more than 2,700 women find a new path forward, with a remarkable relapse/recidivism rate of just 5%. We are grateful for the life-changing work this organization continues to do and for the positive impact it has on women, families, and communities throughout our state.

Mayor Nick Rutledge Appointed to Alabama League of Municipalities Committee on State and Federal Legislation

The City of Moody is proud to announce that Mayor Nick Rutledge has been appointed by the Alabama League of Municipalities to serve on the Committee on State and Federal Legislation, representing State Senatorial District 11.

The Committee on State and Federal Legislation plays a vital role in shaping the League's advocacy efforts and legislative priorities on behalf of municipalities across Alabama. Mayor Rutledge's appointment places him at the table where decisions are made that directly impact cities and towns throughout the state.

"It is a tremendous honor to be appointed to this committee, and I do not take that responsibility lightly," said Mayor Nick Rutledge. "Alabama's municipalities deserve strong representation at the state and federal level, and I am committed to being a voice not just for Moody, but for every community counting on our leaders in Montgomery and Washington, DC to acknowledge the issues we face here at home. My hope is that through this role, I can bring resources, relationships, and opportunities back home that will make a difference for the citizens of Moody."
