On April 4th in downtown Monterey, Tennessee...the 6th annual Banana Pudding Festival takes place as one of the best spring events in this area of the state! From 10 AM to 4 PM, three streets downtown along with the Monterey Farmers Market fill up with the sights, sounds, and sweet smell of banana pudding. One of the biggest highlights is the Puddin’ Path, where you can try many different kinds of banana pudding for $5 and vote on your favorite. Bakers also take part in the Banana Pudding Contest, where the top prize can reach up to $1,000. As you walk through town, you’ll hear live music and see pottery and basket weaving demos while checking out more than 100 vendors from six states selling crafts, vintage finds, art, clothing, and handmade goods. Families can head to the Kids Zone for a free petting zoo, pony rides, and animal encounters. With food trucks, sweet treats, and plenty to do all day, it’s a fun-filled day in Monterey…all centered around some of the best banana pudding you’ll ever try!
