Tonight Christian Contreras is up as one of the finalists for the CAALA Rising Star Award.

As some of you know, Christian is up for the CAALA Rising Star Award. I am so proud of Christian because I have seen him grow as a lawyer as a man with impeccable integrity and a work ethic that is just superhuman. I really view Chris not so much as a partner in my cases but like a son. I don’t know anyone except my friend Gary Dordick that works as hard as Chris does. He is the voice of many who have no voice, and he brings hope to many in the margins. Christian, has done things that not even an attorneys twenty or thirty years his senior have done.  He is a masterful trial attorney.  He is a fearless and compassionate advocate. He comes a disadvantaged place, having lived homeless with a paraplegic mother without having a father.
From August 2023 to June of 2024, Christian has tried 7 cases as sole/lead and co-lead counsel in both federal and state court, with 4 more to go this year.  He was also an integral member to the legal team behind the $25M settlement in Cervantes v. County of Los Angeles. So proud of my son. Regardless of what happens he will always be a star in my eyes.
