We are proud to celebrate our Chief Operating Officer, Christine Cumbie, as the recipient of the 2026 Liberty Bell Award presented by the Mobile Bar Association
The Liberty Bell Award recognizes individuals who promote a better understanding of our legal system, encourage respect for the law and the courts, and strengthen the relationship between the legal profession and the communities we serve.
For nearly four decades, Christine has been a dedicated advocate for our clients, a mentor to colleagues, and a leader in our profession. Through her service to veterans, commitment to legal education, and involvement with numerous community organizations, she has consistently demonstrated the values this award represents.
Please join all of us at Gardberg & Kemmerly in congratulating Christine on this well-deserved honor. We are grateful for her leadership, her service, and her unwavering commitment to helping others.
Ann Forbes, Executive Director of the Mobile Bar Association, shared:
"For the Liberty Bell Award, this year’s recipient is Christine Cumbie. Ms. Cumbie is the Chief Operating Officer at Gardberg & Kemmerly, a member of the National Organization of Veterans Advocates, serves on the Board of Directors of Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy, and has served two terms as President of the Association of Legal Administrators. As her nominator stated, 'Ms. Cumbie exemplifies the very principles the Liberty Bell Award seeks to recognize. She actively promotes respect for the law and the courts, encouraging every individual she encounters—clients, colleagues, and community members alike—to understand and honor the legal system. Through ongoing training, education, and mentorship, she fosters a deeper appreciation of the rule of law and the responsibilities it places on each of us."
Congratulations Christine.
