Tomorrow thousands of longshoremen will go on strike and shut down all of the ports on the East and Gulf Coasts. They're demanding a 70% raise and a halt on automation at ports. Meanwhile, this is what a port looks like in China. I'll keep telling everyone that we have to pay attention to the world as it exists, not the way we wish it existed. America is not ready for the AI revolution. Conservative estimates have AI replacing 20% of jobs by 2030 and 40% of jobs by 2035. We have to prepare ourselves.

Through almost 100 episodes of Beyond the Blockchain with Scott Tindle, I've interviewed some of the best founders and builders in AI, machine learning, blockchain technology, and DePIN.

Here are some of the best lessons I've learned from these thought leaders.
Top 10 Takeaways From Interviewing Tech Founders

Emerging technologies are moving at a pace never before seen in human history. As the host of “Beyond the Blockchain” a radio show and podcast, I've had the privilege of interviewing some of the most brilliant minds shaping this ever-evolving landscape.
Each week we get a chance to dive into the fascinating world of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain technology.
From automotive visionaries to blockchain revolutionaries, these encounters have been a goldmine of knowledge. It’s been a pleasure to be in the presence of these thought-provoking leaders.
Here are 10 key takeaways I've gleaned from these inspiring conversations:

1. Be gritty: Every founder I've spoken to burns with a fervent passion for their project. It's this unwavering dedication that propels them through inevitable hurdles and setbacks. Grit is the unique combination of passion and perseverance.

2. Embrace the Unknown: Innovation thrives on venturing into uncharted territory. These leaders understand that the path to groundbreaking solutions is paved with calculated risks and a willingness to learn from mistakes.

3. The Power of Collaboration: While these individuals are visionary leaders, they all understand the importance of building strong teams. Collaboration and the ability to leverage the diverse skills of their team members are crucial for bringing ideas to life.

4. Focus on the Problem, Not the Tech: The most successful founders identify a real-world problem and then seek the most appropriate technology to address it. The focus remains on solving a human need, not just deploying the latest AI or blockchain bells and whistles.

5. Data is King (But Fairness Matters): The importance of high-quality, unbiased data is paramount in building trustworthy and effective AI systems. These leaders recognize the ethical implications of AI and are committed to responsible development practices.

6. The Long Game: Building groundbreaking technology rarely happens overnight. Founders I've interviewed emphasize the importance of perseverance and a long-term vision. They understand the need for continuous learning, adaptation, and refinement as they navigate the ever-changing tech landscape.

7. Embrace Regulation (Yes, Really!): While some might view regulations with trepidation, leading innovators see them as a framework for responsible development. These regulations help ensure ethical applications of AI and blockchain and build public trust, ultimately fostering industry growth.

8. User-centric Design is Paramount: The best AI and blockchain solutions prioritize the user experience. Founders I've spoken with understand that technology should enhance human capabilities, not replace them. They actively seek user feedback to ensure their creations are intuitive, accessible, and address real user needs.

9. Security is a Top Priority: Cybersecurity threats are a constant concern in the tech world. Founders I've interviewed prioritize building robust security measures to protect user data and ensure the integrity of their systems.

10. There is Power in the Interconnectivity of Different Thoughts: The most exciting advancements often emerge from the intersection of different technologies. These founders recognize the potential for synergy between AI, machine learning, blockchain, and other emerging fields. They actively seek collaboration opportunities to create solutions greater than the sum of their parts.

By understanding the mindsets and approaches of these innovative leaders, we gain valuable insights into the future of AI, machine learning, and blockchain technology.

These technologies have the potential to revolutionize our world, and it's up to us to ensure they're developed and deployed ethically and responsibly.

Keep your curious minds engaged, and we'll explore more fascinating facets of these technologies each week on “Beyond the Blockchain.”

Happy Birthday to two of Mobile Alabama's greatest legends, Satchel Paige and Ted "Double Duty" Radcliffe.

In a 1932 doubleheader Double Duty hit a grand slam and caught the Satchel shutout in the first game, then threw a shutout of his own in the second.

“Despite loss of many tiles and a damaged flap, Starship made it all the way to a soft landing in the ocean!” said Elon Musk, chief executive of SpaceX, on social media.

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson also praised the flight as a step towards development of a lunar lander version of Starship that the agency plans to use for its Artemis lunar exploration campaign. “Congratulations SpaceX on Starship’s successful test flight this morning!” he posted. “We are another step closer to returning humanity to the Moon through Artemis—then looking onward to Mars.”

SpaceX conducted the fourth test flight of its Starship launch system June 6, with both booster and ship making it back to the surface intact.
