This week, we’re proud to highlight the exceptional work of criminal defense attorney ChaLea Tisdale. The State’s second motion to revoke her client’s bond was denied.

Her client, who was out on bond for a murder charge, was recently arrested for attempted murder, discharging a firearm into an unoccupied building, and discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle. Despite these serious new allegations, ChaLea successfully fought to keep her client’s bond intact—not once, but twice.

She’s been interviewed by the media three times this week for her role in high-profile cases.

This is insane to me. We already have mandatory minimums for violent crimes involving guns and the class D felony was created for MANY good reasons. Our state is still in the middle of a federal suit for the overcrowding and prison conditions, which our legislature refuses to fix, our prison death rate is at an all time high, and parole rates at an all time low. Come on, let’s have a little common sense.
