September ends today, which means there are only three months left in the year. 😳
If "get the estate plan done" has been living on your to-do list since January, here's the honest truth: the last quarter of the year fills up fast. Holidays, travel, year-end everything.
The people who finish their plans before the holidays? They started in the fall.
πŸ‘‰ Reach out to our team today and check the big one off the list before the year runs out.

The families who keep wealth together for generations tend to have one habit in common: they talk about it. πŸ—£οΈ
Not every number. Not every detail. But the important things β€” who's in charge, what the plan is, what the family values are, and why the plan looks the way it does.
A family meeting (yes, an actual scheduled one) can prevent decades of confusion and conflict. Surprises after a funeral rarely go well.
πŸ‘‰ Not sure how to start that conversation? Our team can help you structure it. Reach out today.

Two little acronyms that can keep entire accounts out of probate: POD and TOD. βœ…
A Payable-on-Death designation on a bank account, or a Transfer-on-Death designation on an investment account, sends those funds directly to the person you name β€” no court required.
They're free to set up, take minutes, and quietly do a lot of heavy lifting.
One caution: they need to be coordinated with the rest of your plan, or they can accidentally undo it.
πŸ‘‰ Reach out to our team today to make sure all the pieces work together.

Seniors, here's a charitable giving strategy worth knowing: the QCD. ❀️
If you're 70Β½ or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution lets you give directly from your IRA to a qualified charity β€” and that amount can count toward your required minimum distribution without being counted as taxable income.
Translation: you support causes you love, and you may lower your tax bill doing it.
Generosity and smart planning aren't opposites. They work best together.
πŸ‘‰ Want to build giving into your plan? Reach out to our team today.

Are you a "plan every detail" person or a "figure it out as we go" person?

Leaving a retirement account to your kids? The rules changed, and a lot of plans haven't caught up. πŸ“Š
Under current law, most non-spouse beneficiaries must empty an inherited IRA or 401(k) within 10 years β€” often triggering income taxes along the way.
For families with significant retirement savings, that can mean a much bigger tax bill for your kids than you ever expected.
The good news: with planning, there are strategies to soften the impact.
πŸ‘‰ If retirement accounts are a big piece of your estate, reach out to our team today.

If you have minor children, this might be the most important part of your entire estate plan. πŸ‘Ά
Naming a guardian.
Without one named in your will, a judge β€” someone who has never met your family β€” decides who raises your kids if something happens to both parents.
It's a hard thing to think about. It's a much harder thing to leave undecided.
πŸ‘‰ Reach out to our team today to put your choice in writing.

Want to reduce your taxable estate while you're still here to see the impact? πŸ’°
In 2026, you can gift up to $19,000 per person, per year β€” to as many people as you'd like β€” without touching your lifetime exemption or filing a gift tax return.
For larger estates, consistent annual gifting can move meaningful wealth to the next generation over time. And you get to watch it help.
Just make sure gifting fits your bigger picture β€” especially if long-term care planning may be in your future. (Remember that Medicaid lookback we mentioned?)
πŸ‘‰ Reach out to our team today to build a gifting strategy that works.

Happy first day of fall! 🍁
The season of harvest is a good reminder: you spend a lifetime planting β€” working, saving, building.
Estate planning is how you make sure the harvest actually reaches the people you intended.
Here's to a season of gathering what matters. ✨

Today is World Alzheimer's Day. πŸ’œ
Here's something every family touched by dementia should know: legal documents can only be signed while a person still has the capacity to understand them.
That means the window for creating powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and an updated estate plan is early β€” often earlier than families expect.
If a loved one has received a diagnosis, acting soon isn't pessimistic. It's protective. It preserves their voice in their own future.
πŸ‘‰ Our team handles these situations with care and compassion. Reach out today.
