Grand Marais, July 2026 // Part 2

The smoke from the Northern wildfires started to settle in our last day in Grand Marais. The evening sky had an eerie glow and there was a light layer of ash floating in the air. This was the weekend the Boundary Waters evacuations were occurring—thankful for the professionals and volunteers for their courage and determination during these critical days🙏🏽

Now that the smoke has cleared, please make a trip up North if you’re able, support local businesses as they recover from economic challenges brought by the devastating fires at the Canadian border and others.

We love the North Shore, looking forward to getting up there again soon!❤️🏕️🌊🥾🛶🌲
