For , you can see from our letterhead how our name has evolved. As for the lore on how we landed on simply 'Best & Flanagan'?
Throughout the 1960s and '70s, B&F and Maloney, Carroll & Olson—a boutique firm specializing in real estate title and mortgage foreclosure—worked back and forth across the hall from each other in the First National Bank Building, and got to know each other well.
As the founders' era came to an end, it seemed fitting for the firm to begin its modern day era with a move to the newly constructed IDS Center and a proposed merger. Relatively smooth for all parties, the merger had the positive effect of opening up a broader client base for all involved.
"We renamed the firm 'Best, Flanagan, Maloney, Carroll & Olson' with the idea that would allow people to know who they were dealing with, and we had an agreement that after three or four years we would go back and forget everything but Best & Flanagan. We wouldn't add names or subtract names, and that keeps people's nose from getting out of joint." ~Bud Carroll
