The Milwaukee attorneys of Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C are now
Mallery sc. The new firm debuted on July 1, 2021.

“Mallery sc has the same exceptional Milwaukee lawyers and staff that we had before this corporate change,” said Jon S. Herreman, president of Mallery sc. “Our clients will experience the high level of expertise, service and value that they have come to expect.”

“Additionally, the focus on one office will enhance our ability to attract high quality transactional lawyers, litigators, creditors’ rights attorneys and business advisors,” Herreman added. “We will continue to counsel and provide value-added legal services in southeastern Wisconsin and throughout the state. Technology ensures that we no longer need multiple offices.”

Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. had other offices in Wausau and Stevens Point. The lawyers in those offices have joined or will join other firms. “We have enjoyed our relationship with our former colleagues in northcentral Wisconsin,” said Herreman. “We wish them well in their future endeavors.”

“Our focus is and has always been our clients. We understand business and the legal needs of business owners, and we pride ourselves on adding value and handling business legal services and litigation with expertise and efficiency” explained Herreman “This restructuring will make us even more efficient and eliminate the unnecessary complexity that comes with multiple offices in other parts of Wisconsin.”

Randall G. Erkert formed the Milwaukee office of Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. 32 years ago. Since then, the office has carefully added high-quality attorneys and staff who share the office’s client-based focus on exceptional, value-added legal services.

Mallery sc counsels businesses and individuals in complex civil litigation; lending, real estate and business transactions; business receivership and bankruptcy proceedings; general business matters; various regulatory matters; and estate, business and succession planning.

Mallery sc is located at 731 North Jackson Street. The firm’s new website is at www.mallerysc.com. Telephone numbers remain unchanged.

30 years ago today, on September 19, 1989, the Milwaukee office of Mallery & Zimmerman was founded by Randy Erkert. Mike Finn (then of First Financial Bank) introduced Randy to Tuck Mallery in Wausau. Randy and Tuck hit it off, so Randy left his prior firm and found temporary office space with a client and began work under the Mallery & Zimmerman name. We have grown significantly since those humble beginnings. At every step along the way, we have emphasized excellent legal work and close relationships with our clients. We continue to understand that excellent business and real estate lawyers cannot only be proficient in their legal areas; rather, they also need to understand the businesses of their clients and the legal needs of the owners of those businesses. Thank you to everyone - our clients, our referral sources and our staff - who has made our success possible.

It is hard to peruse media outlets without hearing about bitcoin and other types of cryptocurrency. But what is Bitcoin? Is it just another form of currency, or is it a commodity? It depends on who you ask, and bankruptcy courts are beginning to weigh in on the subject. Bitcoin was created in 2009 a...
