To Inform Families First

A new initiative from the Wisconsin DMV allows you to list emergency contact information as part of your DMV record. It will not be on your card, but will show in your record that we can see. If you are having an emergency, we will know immediately who to call rather than trying to search for those details. This effort hopes to allow us to notify families much quicker in an emergency.

Add yours today online, it does not need to be done at the DMV. It takes 1 minute.

***Update: Some folks have said if your name auto fills from your phone into the form, it may add a blank space after your name and the form won’t recognize your information. Type your name in.

The State Bar talks about getting your estate in order. A helpful read!

“I think families are sometimes disappointed when they first find out how the estate will be transferred after someone dies, when the decision about how the estate’s going to be divided happened several years back. The attorney can’t warn the family in advance about the intended distribution because of the attorney-client privilege,” says Brian Anderson, director of claims for Wisconsin Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company . 👉Why beneficiary designations and client identity are key estate planning issues, https://bit.ly/sbw29609.

Security Sunday:

Take a minute and check your Facebook security settings. Go to your profile, then settings (the gear), then security and privacy to fine two-factor authentication.

Two quick and easy ways to secure you account are by adding a two-factor authentication and getting alerts about unrecognized logins. Remember that if your account is hacked, the hacker can set the two-factor authentication to themselves, which locks you out of your own account until it is fixed.

If you're feeling motivated, check the devices currently logged in to your FB account in the security settings and delete old or unknown devices.
