A Durable Power of Attorney allows a person to appoint someone they trust to manage financial and legal matters if assistance ever becomes necessary. While the document itself may seem straightforward, its impact can be significant.
Without a properly drafted durable power of attorney, even close family members may not have the authority to handle financial transactions, manage assets, or carry out important planning strategies if someone becomes incapacitated.
