📱 That "dream job" text message could actually be a scam.
A new BBB Employment Scams Study found that employment scams doubled in 2025, with scams sent by text message making up half of all reported employment scams.
Before responding, watch for these common red flags:
🔹 Unprompted job offers
🔹 Salaries that seem too good to be true
🔹 Pressure to accept a job immediately
🔹 Requests to pay fees or taxes before getting paid
🔹 "Task-based" jobs that pay you to like videos or subscribe to channels
Take time to research the company, verify the opportunity, and never pay money to get a job or receive your paycheck.
