I feel like way too much has happened in my absence over the last couple of years and I miss my interaction with friends and my real estate family.
I can't put into words how thankful I am to still be here this holiday season. I have suffered much pain over the last couple of years which has restricted me from doing even the simplest things in life and over the last year mainly stayed in bed because of pain.
As you saw in a previous post, I contracted on top of it all Covid on Oct 3rd, of this year, even though I was vaccinated along with booster shots and this was brought home to me by a family member from a previous trip out of state, since I haven't been outside my home and around people for years except for medical appointments.
Then on the 11th with extreme pain in my left leg, more than usual over the last couple of years, went for a Dr appointment, then sent to the ER, and ended up in the hospital for over a week for a surgical removal of a huge blood clot that formed in the calf of my left leg and extended clear up to my abdomen. According to all the doctors, they said they have never seen a blood clot that big or long in the history of blood clots. Yes, I guess I am always that one in a million to turn up with something rare or unusual. I am lucky to be alive.
With that discovery, they also found another serious issue so I will be back in the hospital for another surgery on the 21st of December. So this Christmas will be a little bit different for me and my family.
In January I will be back with the blood clot Dr since they discovered another rare issue called the May-Thurner Syndrom, which affects the blood flow in my left leg. So he will be doing tests to see what procedures need to be completed to fix this since my left leg is still not allowing the blood to flow correctly.
I've always been blessed with good health so 2023 kicked my &%$$, but I am confident I will recover since they finally found all the issues and causes for my pain and restricted movements!
Regardless, I wish all my sweet friends and peers a wonderful holiday season, and make sure and hug all those you love and let them know how much they mean to you!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
