January was another record month for Utah housing market. January traditionally is seasonally a slower month, was turned upside down after this Holladay home received multiple offers and sold well over asking price. Who would've thought there is such a high demand for million dollar homes.

Finally closed on a beautiful new construction townhouse in North Salt Lake for this awesome client of mine, Anastasia. Our search started with duplexes and homes with mother in law apartments, but so many properties required tons of work, so she settled on a brand new townhome requiring no maintenance and more complimentary to her lifestyle. So happy for you!

Although we are seeing days on market ticking up and the buying frenzy slightly slowing (fewer offers on properties), and heading into the winter season it's a great time to buy and or sell.

Update Sugarhouse Project. Continued Excavation and poured footings. Next is foundation then framing. Ran into some cost overruns already. After excavating we noticed the water table was higher than expected so had to bring in two feet of cobble rock and a foot of 1" gravel. Regardless, the house will be solid.

I'm intrigued with the architecture of Washington DC homes. Although I once lived here and regret sometimes leaving, I am impressed with the homes from Georgetown, NW, Dupont, Logan all the way to the NE side.
