Have you heard of aquamation?
It's like "water cremation," sometimes called alkaline hydrolysis, & considered to have less impact on the environment than cremation. While the process is legal in Maryland, no place here has made it available.

Friends of a deceased man in Ecuador exhumed his body to take him (his co**se) on a final motorcycle ride.
In some cultures it is common for the deceased to be exhumed for annual celebrations.
