Hey, BMP showing Court Street businesses some love!
A little thank you… and a little shift in focus 💙
Over the past couple of weeks we’ve been sending out our annual appeal letter—and as the responses come in, we just want to say a heartfelt thank you. The generosity (and the kind messages) really mean a lot.
One note in particular stayed with us…
A Court Street business gently reminded us that while we celebrate Main Street and our historic downtown, we haven’t always shone the same light on Route 7.
And they’re right. Our designation and much of our work is rooted in the historic downtown and Main Street but it is a timely and thoughtful reminder that Middlebury doesn’t run on a few streets alone.
So here’s a moment to pause—and to celebrate the stretch of town that quietly keeps Middlebury running.
At the top of Court Street, it’s the people you rely on when it really matters—law offices, healthcare, recovery services, tech support, fitness, and more.
Head south and it becomes the rhythm of daily life—groceries, quick stops, studios, salons, a bite to eat, a drink with friends…all the places that keep the day moving.
And tucked just off the main road? Some of the businesses we’re so grateful for—flowers for life’s big (and small) moments, printers who make everything happen behind the scenes, and the salons that keep us all feeling human!
The wider Route 7 / Court Street corridor is a mix of essentials, creativity, and care—an often unsung network that keeps this town going, every single day.
