Sixteen years ago today, I raised my right hand and took an oath that would shape far more than my career.
I promised to practice with integrity, to honor the courts, to counsel with truth, and to serve my clients faithfully. In the years since, that oath has followed me into every courtroom, every difficult conversation, every client meeting, every hard-fought case, and every season of growth.
A lot has changed in 16 years. The lawyer in these photos could not have imagined everything that would come next. But the promise remains the same.
Iā€™m grateful for the people who believed in me then, the clients who have trusted me since, and the privilege of continuing to do work that matters.

When it comes to grief, there is no deadline for being ā€œokay.ā€ There is no prize for handling it beautifully.

Some days youā€™ll laugh and feel guilty for laughing. Some days youā€™ll be completely fine until a song, a smell, a stupid memory, or a random Tuesday punches you in the chest.

Thatā€™s grief.

You donā€™t have to make sense of it. You just have to keep moving through it, however that looks today.
