🌎 MIAC-CAMACOL strengthens international cooperation by supporting MOOT LIMA® 2026!

The Miami International Arbitration Center (MIAC-CAMACOL) is pleased to provide Institutional Support for MOOT LIMA® – International Arbitration and International Economic Law Competition, an international academic initiative organized by the Centro Internacional de Arbitraje de Lima® (CIAL) and Universidad Esan

This initiative promotes practical training, academic excellence and international exchange in Arbitration and International Economic Law, bringing together the next generation of legal professionals in Lima, Peru.

🤝 This Institutional Support is developed within the framework of the MOU between CAMACOL and CIAL, strengthening international cooperation and the development of new academic and professional opportunities.

We are pleased to share a new edition of the MIAC-CAMACOL Networks Report, reflecting the strengthening and international projection of our network across Latin America 🌎
This edition highlights important institutional milestones, including the recent alliance with the School of Politics, Government and International Relations of Austral University, aimed at promoting education, research, and the development of arbitration, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and Dispute Boards.
The report also features the official launches of the MIAC-CAMACOL Networks in Peru, Bolivia, and Buenos Aires–Argentina, initiatives that further consolidate MIAC’s regional presence and reinforce its commitment to academic, institutional, and professional cooperation in arbitration and ADR.
We thank all partner institutions, academics, directors, and professionals who continue to make this growth possible.

📅 On June 8, CAMACOL and the School of Politics, Government and International Relations at Universidad Austral celebrated the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at Universidad Austral's CABA, Argentina.
🤝 The ceremony brought together representatives from both institutions, reaffirming their commitment to academic, professional, and international collaboration.
🌎 This agreement will strengthen education, research, and knowledge exchange while fostering innovative approaches to dispute prevention and resolution. It will also promote the development and dissemination of arbitration, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, and Dispute Boards as key tools for effective conflict management.
✨ A strategic partnership that advances leadership, innovation, and international cooperation.

📅 El pasado 8 de junio, CAMACOL y la Escuela de Política, Gobierno y Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad Austral celebraron la firma de un Memorándum de Entendimiento (MOU) en la Sede CABA de la Universidad Austral, Argentina.
🤝 La ceremonia reunió a representantes de ambas instituciones, reafirmando su compromiso con la cooperación académica, profesional e internacional.
🌎 Este acuerdo fortalecerá la formación, la investigación y el intercambio de conocimientos, impulsando soluciones innovadoras para la prevención y resolución de controversias. 🌎🤝 Strengthening international academic cooperation.
On May 29, Walter Del Aguila, Chairman of MIAC, and Ricardo De Urioste, Member of the MIAC Advisory Council, paid an official visit and held a working meeting at the Universidad Mayor Real y Pontificia San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca in Bolivia 🇧🇴.
The delegation was welcomed by Dr. Guido Marcelo Encinas Pasquier, Dean of the Faculty of Law, Political and Social Sciences; Dr. Iván Arandia, Secretary General; Ms. Madai Moscoso Serrudo, Director of the Department of Social Outreach and University Extension (DISEU); and Architect Cristina Rossell, Director of International Relations.
📚⚖️ The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on academic cooperation, internationalization, institutional strengthening, and the development of joint initiatives aimed at promoting arbitration and other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, reaffirming a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration and knowledge exchange between both institutions.

🌎🤝 Fortaleciendo la cooperación académica internacional.
El pasado 29 de mayo, Walter Del Aguila, presidente del MIAC, y Ricardo De Urioste, miembro de su Consejo Consultivo, realizaron una visita protocolar y reunión de trabajo en la Universidad Mayor Real y Pontificia San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca (Bolivia) 🇧🇴.
La delegación fue recibida por el Dr. Guido Marcelo Encinas Pasquier, decano de la Facultad de Derecho, Ciencias Políticas y Sociales; el Dr. Iván Arandia, secretario general; la Lic. Madai Moscoso Serrudo, directora del Departamento de Interacción Social y Extensión Universitaria (DISEU); y la Arq. Cristina Rossell, directora de Relaciones Internacionales.

📍 Bolivia hosted an important milestone for the advancement of arbitration in the region.
On May 28, at CAINCO Chuquisaca, CAMACOL and CAINCO Chuquisaca signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), followed by the launch of the MIAC-CAMACOL BOLIVIA Network.
🎤 Hosted by Fabiola Villarroel, the event brought together distinguished members of the arbitration community and featured a keynote presentation by Ricardo De Urioste on commercial and investment arbitration.
🤝 The ceremony also included the official launch of the MIAC-CAMACOL PERU Network, led by Debora Mac Donald Zöllner.
We sincerely thank the Bolivian arbitration community for its warm welcome and valuable participation in this initiative, which promotes collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the growth of arbitration across Latin America.

📍 Bolivia fue escenario de un importante paso para el fortalecimiento del arbitraje en la región.
El pasado 28 de mayo, en CAINCO Chuquisaca, se suscribió el Memorándum de Entendimiento (MOU) entre CAMACOL y CAINCO Chuquisaca, y se realizó el lanzamiento de la RED MIAC-CAMACOL BOLIVIA.
🎤 La ceremonia fue conducida por Fabiola Villarroel y contó con la participación de destacados representantes de la comunidad arbitral, así como con la conferencia magistral de Ricardo De Urioste sobre arbitraje comercial y de inversiones.
🤝 Asimismo, Debora Mac Donald Zöllner lideró el lanzamiento solemne de la RED MIAC-CAMACOL PERÚ.

🎙️ The event brought together distinguished national and international experts in arbitration and investment, including Ricardo Leon Pastor, Małgorzata (Gosia) Judkiewicz-Garvan, Walter Del Aguila, and Denisse Miralles.
🤝 The Solemn Launch of the MIAC-CAMACOL PERU Network also took place, strengthening cooperation and the promotion of arbitration across the region.
🥂 The event concluded with closing remarks delivered by Ernesto Alvarez Cisneros, Director of the MIAC-CAMACOL PERU Network.
🙌 We thank the Arbitration Community of Peru for its outstanding reception and participation in this important initiative.
