's Land Development & Government Relations Team recently secured approval of a lease amendment for the redevelopment of up to 108 acres of County-owned property in Miami-Dade County. The lease will provide for the development of up to 1.5 million square feet of industrial warehousing facilities, 190 affordable housing units, retail facilities, and new County-owned recreational facilities. More than a decade in the making, the approval reflects the team's experience navigating complex, governmental and public-private development matters to help move large-scale projects from vision to reality.

At the 7th annual Development Conference, welcomed the City of Miami Mayor Eileen Higgins for a candid conversation on the future of the city with Head of Land Use & Zoning practiceJavier F. Aviñó.

Mayor Higgins shared her vision for streamlining permitting, accelerating workforce and affordable housing development, strengthening resiliency standards, and advancing transit-oriented growth across Miami.
