We’re excited to introduce Oliver Canning to the team as a Post-Graduate Fellow in the Venture Law Project! In this role, Oliver will work closely with startups, inventors, and early-stage entrepreneurs seeking legal assistance, helping strengthen legal services available to innovators throughout our growing startup ecosystem.

A 2026 J.D./LL.M. graduate of the University of Miami School of Law and 2023 graduate of the University of Michigan, Oliver brings a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and energy to the project. We’re thrilled to have him on board and look forward to all he will contribute to our thriving entrepreneurial community.

Bast Amron LLP will host its Annual Business Advantage Forum on April 22 in Miami, with all proceeds benefiting Dade Legal Aid.

The Earth Day program, set for 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will bring together legal and business leaders to examine emerging challenges, including artificial intelligence, workforce transformation, and sustainability.

Now in its eighth year, the in-person forum focuses on the intersection of law and business leadership. This year’s theme, “Navigating the Next: Leadership & Innovation in a Transforming World,” highlights how organizations are adapting to rapid technological and regulatory change.

Panel discussions will explore sustainability as a business strategy and leadership in an era of disruption, with speakers addressing topics such as AI adoption, evolving workplace dynamics, and corporate responsibility.

The event is fully underwritten by the firm, with proceeds supporting Dade Legal Aid’s mission to provide free civil legal services to low-income Miami-Dade County residents.

Florida Bar CLE credit is available, including one technology credit, one professionalism credit, and two general credits.
