Today, I had the privilege of speaking at Career Day at my elementary school, Good Shepherd Catholic School. I loved having the opportunity to talk to middle schoolers about my career path to law and my law firm. (There was another presenter who had a grammy…definitely a tough act to follow.)
It’s crazy to walk down the same halls that absorbed my sense of wonder all those years ago and reflect on how my life has unfolded since 2008. During that time, I was convinced that I was going to be the first female president in 2032. I guess there is still time!
Although dreams can change and evolve, I told the students that my sense of advocacy still remains and is a pillar of my practice, alongside motivation, patience, and resilience.
I feel incredibly grateful to live this life I’ve created, owning my own law firm and traveling the world. I also feel humbled to return to where it all began, seeing a new generation just starting to imagine their own bold, beautiful futures.
