A recent study from Nationwide Children’s Hospital reveals that teens driving vehicles older than six years face a significantly higher risk of fatal crashes. Specifically, vehicles aged 6–15 years increase the risk by 19%, and those older than 15 years increase it by 31%, compared to vehicles five years old or newer. Each additional driver assistance technology installed in a vehicle reduces the risk of driver death by 6%. This underscores the importance of vehicle safety features in protecting young drivers.
