One thing people need to understand about HOME STAGING specifically…

Home staging is NOT the same thing as interior decorating based on personal preference.

If I’m designing someone’s personal home for them to live in, of course there is more collaboration involved because the goal is to make sure the CLIENT personally loves the space.

But staging is different.

Staging is MARKETING design. It is strategically designed to help the home photograph well, feel balanced, appear larger, attract buyers, and market the property in the best way possible.

When you hire a professional stager, you are hiring their vision, experience, layout strategy, and professional judgment.

If every person involved in a project starts changing furniture placement, layouts, accessories, sight lines, or adding opinions AFTER the installation is completed, then the design loses its cohesion and integrity. At that point, it becomes redesign work and change orders — because additional sourcing, inventory, delivery, labor, and time are involved.

Just because something is “different than your personal taste” does not mean it was designed incorrectly.

There has to be some level of trust in the professional you hired to do the job.

There is NO “standard” price for cleaning. 👏

One company quoting $300 does NOT automatically make $300 the “going rate” for every cleaning business.

A deep cleaning is not a one-size-fits-all service.

One “deep clean” may be:
• a small home lightly maintained that takes then 2-4hrs
Another may be:
• a 4,000 sq ft home
• 4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms
• years of buildup
• high ceilings
• baseboards, blinds, fans, vents, appliances, showers, detailed dusting, buildup removal, etc.
• requiring a TEAM of 3++++
• taking 8-10+ labor hours
• sometimes even TWO DAYS to complete properly

People also forget there is a HUGE difference between:
➡️ side work
➡️ and running a fully licensed, insured, professional company.

After 17 years in business, let me explain what professional cleaning companies actually pay for:

• payroll
• workers comp
• liability insurance
• taxes
• scheduling & admin
• marketing
• gas
• equipment
• vacuums/mops/tools
• gloves/supplies/products
• uniforms
• vehicle & equipment wear & tear
• training
• quality control
• employees being paid whether the customer understands overhead or not

Some cleaners may only want to make $125 for the day doing side jobs — and that is THEIR choice. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

But please stop comparing every professional company to the lowest quote you received.

You are not only paying for someone to wipe things down.
You are paying for:
✔️ reliability
✔️ experience
✔️ systems
✔️ professionalism
✔️ insurance protection
✔️ accountability
✔️ consistency
✔️ reputation
✔️ and peace of mind

Also, many people do not realize that some companies price low because they are:
• uninsured
• paying cash labor
• not paying payroll taxes
• not carrying workers comp
• not replacing equipment properly
• not running legal business operations

Again — that is THEIR business model.

But when you hire a legitimate professional company with years of experience and a proven reputation, the pricing will naturally reflect that.

But professional services are NOT all priced the same because the quality, labor, overhead, experience, and standards are not all the same either. 🙏

Cheap is not always cheap once corners are cut, details are missed, damages happen, employees quit, or the company disappears after a few months.

Quality businesses are built over YEARS — not overnight.
