Meet C.J. Eager, the newest Anderson Banta Clarkson attorney.
C.J. is a native of Arizona and grew up in Mesa. At the age of 14, his father would drop him off at construction sites to work using the summer heat as motivation to encourage C.J. to attend college. The plan worked, and C.J. did his undergraduate work at Arizona State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He enrolled in law school the next year, attending a year at the University of North Dakota, and graduating from Sandra Day O’Connor School of Law at Arizona State University.
While in law school, C.J. focused his studies on estate planning and probate issues. He participated in moot court his first year of law school where he won overall champion. In the same competition, Justice Bye of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit awarded C.J. with the ‘Top Oralist’ award in the competition. Additionally, he was a member of the Civil Justice Clinic at ASU, assisting indigent clients who had been fraudulently mislead by lenders during the housing crisis of 2008.
During law school, C.J. had the privilege of working at a local law firm with nearly 30 years of estate planning experience in Arizona. C.J. continued to work for the firm after law school. To date, C.J. has drafted thousands of wills and trusts for clients throughout Arizona.
In 2015, he elected to take his estate planning experience and join with Anderson Banta Clarkson, PLLC, to continue focusing on estate planning and probate issues, while, additionally, offering a more full-service experience for his clients.
C.J. prides himself as being a new kind of attorney. He does not come from a lineage of attorneys, but rather, takes a fresh approach to practicing law. He has worked in various industries, including the banking industry and real estate investment, which gives him a real life and practical approach to solving problems.
You can reach C.J. on his direct line 480.353.6984.
