If you have upcoming court dates in person, please be advised of the new clear face mask requirements for all parties, witnesses, defendants, and attorneys.
COURTS REQUIRING CLEAR FACIAL MASKS FOR DEFENDANTS AND WITNESSES
Please see the latest Administrative Order
(https://flcourts18.org/docs/Covid19/21-11-amd.pdf) regarding the use of clear face masks in courtrooms for witnesses and parties to the case. Effective immediately, private attorneys must purchase clear masks for their witnesses as described in the Administrative Order. Attorneys who have not yet procured these masks can obtain a clear face mask on the 3rd floor in Court Administration at the Moore Justice Center, through Kim Wohlgamuth at the Titusville Courthouse, and through Lakisha Wilcox at the Melbourne Courthouse while supplies last. Clear face shields are not permitted.
Please note that the Clerk’s Office will provide clear masks to jurors and the offices of the Public Defender and State Attorney will provide clear masks to their witnesses. These masks have been purchased at www.theclearmask.com (Please see picture below). Attorneys may purchase this type or another type clear face mask that fits snugly like a regular face mask. All others - judges, judicial assistants, staff, visitors and observers - may continue to wear regular masks.
Chief Judge Davidson encourages everyone to take the appropriate precautions to stay healthy and safe.
