🚨Scam Alert🚨

One of our staff members recently received a fake “Indiana District Court Traffic Violation” text message claiming they had a pending traffic case. The message threatened serious consequences for “non-compliance,” including:

• Possible arrest warrant
• Suspension of driver’s license and vehicle registration
• Points added to a driving record
• Additional court fees
• Referral to a debt collection agency

The message also pressured the recipient to click a link and respond immediately.

These types of scams are on the rise; here are some red flags to look out for:

1. Texts messages from the “Court”. Courts do NOT send text messages demanding payment or threatening arrest.
2. They ask you to reply and confirm information. Scammers often ask you to reply or confirm information, due to the fact that it can help them gain access to personal information or verify your phone number.
3. They ask you to click on a suspicious link. Official Indiana Government websites end in “.gov”.
4. They will use fear and urgency (i.e. “reply by 9:00 a.m.”) to pressure people into responding quickly.

Please DO NOT click the link or reply to these messages.

If you are unsure whether something is real:

✔️Contact the court/clerk’s office directly using an official phone number or website.
✔️If you are aware of a ticket, check your ticket status through Indiana’s Court portals.
✔️Report spam texts and block the number.

Today is Primary Election Day🗳️

It is a good opportunity to reflect on the history and significance of voting in our country. Today we recognize those who fought to secure and protect our right to vote, along with the key laws that help protect that right:

1. The 15th Amendment (1870) – Prohibits denying the right to vote based on race.
2. The 19th Amendment (1920) – Granted women the right to vote.
3. Voting Rights Act (1965) – Expanded voting access and prohibited discriminatory practices that restricted eligible U.S. citizens from voting.

We encourage you to take part in the democratic process they fought for, every vote matters! The polls are open today. Be sure to check your local polling place and hours, and don’t forget to bring your ID!

🚨 Reminder: Today is Tax Day, April 15, 2026 🚨

Don’t let it sneak up on you, make sure your federal and state tax returns are filed, or that you’ve submitted an extension, by 11:59 p.m. local time tonight.

Filing an extension gives you more time to file, not more time to pay, so be sure any estimated taxes owed are addressed as well.

Avoid unnecessary penalties and interest, take a few minutes now to confirm everything is submitted.

The State of Indiana is offering a 𝘁𝗮𝘅 𝗮𝗺𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟱, giving individuals and businesses a rare opportunity to resolve outstanding tax liabilities 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁, 𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝘀.

This program applies to 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝘅𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, and has not been offered in more than a decade.

✔ No civil or criminal penalties if paid during the amnesty period
✔ Payment plans available for qualifying balances
