Nerdfest XI – an amateur marathon gaming tournament – raised $4,144 for Extra Life Hershey to benefit Penn State Children’s Hospital through donations and sponsorships.

This Saturday, Attorney Erich Hawbaker will be competing in Nerdfest XI, a charity video game tournament in central PA.

This is a fundraiser for Extra Life Hershey, which helps raise money to buy video game equipment for kids at Hershey Medical Center. We’ve raised so much over the years that they sometimes ask if they can use the money to buy medical equipment instead.

This year’s theme is The Sports One, which means I’ve got a shot at making it back to the podium. I’ve just got to work my way through 31 other players in:

Points are awarded to the Top 8 players in each category. Typically the winner scores a total of about 50 to 80 points. I’ve played in five of these now, and I have finished between 2nd and 7th place in each previous contest.

Any contribution is welcome. But if you want to make it more interesting, you could pledge to donate an amount-per-point that I score. Hawbaker Law, P.C. is pledging $2 per point scored by Erich Hawbaker.

The last tournament raised over $2,300 for Extra Life Hershey, and we are hoping to surpass that number this time.
