For a century, people around here have driven past this place and wondered about it.

Paul J. Rainey arrived in Tippah County in 1900 with a coal and coke fortune and built an estate
for hunting, horses and hospitality. He became one of the most improbable figures in Mississippi
history, and a great deal of the story was never written down.

The trophy room is still here. So is the round brick polo barn. So are roughly 100 acres of it, and
for the first time in a long time they are on the market together.
