On September 8, the IRS announced that it will be shifting more attention onto high-income earners, partnerships, large corporations and promoters abusing the nation's tax laws." The Service will be using improved technology including Artificial Intelligence. It will make sure that audit rates do not increase for those earning less than $400,000 a year. The IRS will intensify work on taxpayers with total income above $1 million with more than $250,000 in tax debt.
