He has been trained in general mediation and has received specialized training for mediation Family Law issues. Anderson has presided as Special Judge in the General Sessions Courts and Chancery Courts of Shelby County, Tennessee. He is a member of the Memphis and Shelby County Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association, and is a member of the Family Law Section of both bar associations. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section for the Tennessee Bar Association. He is a former Co-Chairman of the Memphis Bar Association's Continuing Legal Education Committee. He was appointed to serve as a member of the Enhanced Child Support Enforcement Committee for the Tennessee Department of Human Services. He has been honored by being chosen as a Fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation. He has served as President of Germantown-Nonconnah Exchange Club and as member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at one of Memphis' finest independent schools. Anderson received his Bachelor's Degree from Lambuth College in 1980. He received his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) from the University of Memphis in 1983.
