Happy Blessed Sunday. Today should not be taken for granted. Today is the day for us to do, to say, and embrace the bountiful mercies and abundance which God gives us freely.
Today I want to share a few simple tidbits.
Getting and keeping you affairs in order can save a lot of grief for loved ones if tomorrow starts without you.
1.Make dure you have a life insurances policy to cover at minimum, your transition proceedings.
2. If you have adult children that are unable to handle their own affairs, you need a conservatorship.
3. If you have health issues and you do not have spouse, you may consider executing a Durable Power of Attorney.
4. Do you family a favor and exeute a Living Will.
5. Just because you are the “payee” for someone’s SSA or SSI benefits, you are not that person’s legal guardian.
Just tidbits . If you have something more than basics (more than a house, small bank account, etc.),you should consult an estate planning attorney and/or a tax specialist.
Just a reminder, my areas of practice are criminal law, juvenile delinquency, child support, auto accidents and a little family law.
God bless you all and God bess America!

Good evening:
The weather has cleared and it is back to the grind. As January, 2018 comes to a close, expectations are high for an amazing year. Taking care of small details will help us enjoy where we are on the way to where we’re are going.

Make sure you have your important documents in one place. Preferably, in a fire proof safe. Some important documents are things such as: life insurance policy, marriage license, deeds to property, an updated will, a living will, passwords to your electronics, passwords to you online accounts and credit cards, bank account information, family history information, power of attorney papers, just to name a few.

It is also a good idea if you have a conversation regarding your “last wishes”. We don’t know when we will make our transition. We are often reluctant to think or discuss our departure from this world. However, death of the body is the fate of us all. Therefore, it is best to discuss the reality and practicality of our final days.
Then, we can live life to the fullest.

God bless you all.
