P.A.R.K. The Stigma is a Youth Su***de Prevention Committee created by the Long Island chapter of AFSP, that gives teens the opportunity to have a meaningful voice in su***de prevention and help lead the change in how people view mental health.

P.A.R.K. stands for Prevention•Action•Resilience•Kindness and is in loving memory of Gabriella “Parker”Savarese.

The P.A.R.K. The Stigma Street Team is a teen led, adult supervised outreach initiative bringing kindness, connection and mental health awareness directly into the community. Our teens will offer help, share resources and spark moments of genuine human connection and kindness.

What a week! It started with the ELIJA’s Pathways to Adulthood Conference where I spoke on planning for a disabled child, then it was off to a wonderful networking event with Long Island Lawyhers, followed by presenting at Brandywine for a CEU event!! Finally, wrapped up the week volunteering for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention!! Of course, client meetings and work work work in between but took the day and enjoyed watching the Mets win at CitiField yesterday with some of my law school friends! An annual tradition! Tomorrow is Saturday and I will be cheering on my youngest at her dance competition!
