A very interesting issue reached New York's highest court recently. Does blogging/social media posting constitute recreational activity under Labor Law 201-d? Unfortunately, the Court of Appeals punted on the question, instead ruling that resolution of the case was guided by an established legal doctrine - the ministerial exception. The panelists fielded questions from Hofstra Law students about federal court practice, specifically in the areas of civil rights and employment. The panel was comprised of practitioners at different stages of their careers and who could offer different perspectives about federal court practice.
