As National Nurses Month comes to a close, we’re grateful for the role nurses play in supporting individuals and families through some of life’s most important moments.

Throughout the month, we’ve highlighted how a healthcare-informed perspective can bring added clarity to the planning process, helping families better understand care needs, navigate decisions, and prepare for what’s ahead.

In recognition of that impact, we’re proud to extend a $300 credit toward an estate plan for nurses as a way of saying thank you. And as always, we offer complimentary consultations for individuals and families who want to start planning or simply have questions.

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten, and we are deeply grateful for the freedoms their sacrifices helped protect.

As we gather with family and loved ones this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on those who gave everything for our nation. 🇺🇸

As National Nurses Month continues, it’s worth recognizing how much of the decision-making around aging and long-term care happens outside of a doctor’s office.

Families are often left to navigate:
• When care at home is no longer enough
• What level of care is appropriate
• How to balance care needs with financial realities

These decisions are rarely clear and they don’t happen in a vacuum. That’s why bringing a healthcare-informed perspective into elder care and estate planning matters.

At Tully Law Group, our Elder Care Coordination team, including Raina DeDilectis, BSN, RN, CECC, DCC, helps connect what families are experiencing on the healthcare side with the legal and planning strategies being put in place.

The result is not just a plan, but one that reflects real-world care considerations and helps families move forward with greater clarity.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Today, we recognize the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures whose guidance, support, and care shape the lives of their families every day. The role of a mother often extends far beyond the moment—helping to provide stability, protection, and a lasting sense of direction for future generations.

We are grateful for the care, strength, and dedication they bring to their families and communities.

As part of National Nurses Month, we’re taking a closer look at what it means to have a healthcare perspective integrated into the Life Care Planning process.

At Tully Law Group, Raina DeDilectis, BSN, RN, CECC, DCC serves as an Elder Care Coordinator and is also a registered nurse. She brings real-world healthcare experience into how families plan for the future. While she does not provide medical care in this role, her background offers valuable insight as families navigate planning decisions.

Most legal planning happens in isolation from what is actually happening on the healthcare side.

Our approach is different. Raina works closely with families throughout our Life Care Planning process to:

• Translate complex medical information into clear, practical guidance
• Help set realistic expectations around disease progression and care needs
• Support families across the full continuum of care during our 12-month engagement
• Bridge the gap between medical care, daily living needs, and legal planning
• Evaluate safety and appropriateness of care at home vs. higher levels of care
• Guide conversations and improve communication with hospitals, rehab, and long-term care facilities
• Help families ask the right questions and advocate for their loved ones
• Connect clients to trusted resources, including home care, community services, and specialists
• Provide education around diagnoses, care options, and what to expect moving forward
• Offer ongoing support to reduce crisis-driven decisions and improve planning
• Reassess situations, anticipate challenges, and adjust recommendations to keep care decisions aligned with both immediate and long-term goals

This means planning is not just based on documents. It’s informed by an understanding of how care is delivered, how needs may change, and what families are likely to face.

It also means families have a consistent, knowledgeable resource to help guide them, make sense of what can often feel overwhelming, and ensure care decisions and legal planning remain aligned with what matters most.

May is National Nurses Month, a time to recognize the professionals who play a critical role in guiding patients and families through complex healthcare decisions.

At Tully Law Group, that perspective is not external, it’s part of how we support the families we serve. We see every day how a background in healthcare helps families better understand care options, anticipate needs, and navigate decisions that often come at difficult and uncertain times.

When a loved one’s health changes, families are often faced with decisions around care, timing, and what comes next—often without clear answers. These moments don’t just impact care, they directly influence the legal, financial, and long-term elder care and estate planning decisions families need to make.

Having that type of insight as part of the planning process can make a meaningful difference.

Throughout the month, we’ll be highlighting the role nurses can play not only in healthcare settings, but as part of a more coordinated approach to Life Care Planning.
