We have a full time position open for a Property Manager / Book Keeper / Executive Assistant and are interviewing right now if you know of anyone looking. A background in accounting and an in depth knowledge of Quickbooks is critical. Any experience in property management is helpful too but is not critical. The Microsoft Office suite is used as well. Responsibilities include property management bookkeeping using Quickbooks, preparation of monthly management reports, collecting rents, paying property expenses, communication with vendors/owners/tenants, tracking work orders, on site property inspections and lease analysis. This is a smaller office with a family atmosphere which is relaxed but very professional. In addition, you will be working directly with the owner/broker of the company providing real estate contract & lease assistance. You do not need a real estate license. There will be a 1-3 month period of training, depending on your experience. A local market research company just completed a year end study of the Brevard County real estate market as compared to a year ago. There are some pretty encouraging signs that the market is significantly improving with unemployment, housing, construction, retail sales and tourism improving. Here is a quote from the report. "Unemployment in the 4th Quarter was 6.8%, a decline from 8% in December 2012.
Employment in the construction sector increased 22% from the previous year,
predominantly due to the strengthening demand for housing.
Home sales volume increased by 11.6% in 2013. The median home price at the end of
2013 is $142,750, a 12.8% increase over the 4th Quarter of 2012.
2013 Retail Sales experienced a 5.1% increase over 2012 Retail Sales."
