John Sloan, Realtor - John L. Scott Real Estate

John Sloan, Realtor - John L. Scott Real Estate To provide the finest residential real estate services with uncompromising principles.

The real estate market is hyperlocal, seasonal and temperamental—in other words, it can change on a dime. Technology has made information more accessible to everyone, but it can be difficult to keep up with recent events that affect home values. The benefits of working with a licensed real estate professional go far beyond what a mobile app, online video, or website can do. I provide my clients wi

th information on market seasonality and information relevant to what is happening in their specific neighborhood. This customized analysis includes recent comparable sales that factor into an offer and acceptance strategy.

I have not traveled outside of North America ever. I’ve been around the US quite a bit and a short distance into Mexico, but beyond that...”I got nothing”. A person close to me continually pokes fun at me and shakes their head in disbelief. Mind you, I would LOVE to travel and see what this world has to offer, in person, but work and starting a family were more important to me. (Side note, this same person has never married and has no kids 😉). Thankfully, I live in such a beautiful area of the country that I can literally see sites such as all within a days drive for me (other side note, never been to Yosemite 😱). With all there is to see around me, I’m still satisfying my wanderlust! Eventually I’ll make it outta here and see another country, but until then...

Write a caption you say. What if nothing comes to mind I ask? Then dig deeper, you respond.
So much to say but so few words come out. Sometimes it’s just better to stay quiet and observe. My mood dictates this for me as my general tendency is to say too much sometimes. With that being said...I made this journey back to Brookings to find this spot that eluded me last trip. Only change this trip is I had company!! My two dogs accompanied me 😊
Unfortunately they stayed in the car on this hike as it was too treacherous for my 12 yo boxer. She would surely have given it a go, but with the narrow, steep trail, I didn’t want to risk losing her. She’s been through so many ups and downs with me. My other dog, a border collie Australian shepherd mix would have loved it, but it wouldn’t have been fair to the boxer, so they stayed back at the car.
This spot, I must say, has got to be one of the most beautiful on the Oregon coast. I am so grateful I live in such a diverse area that offers so much to do outdoors. The beauty of my location? Just 5ish hours from San Francisco and about 4.5 from Portland Oregon. So if I feel I need to explore the concrete jungle, it’s a quick trip! Hope y’all enjoy this photo...my next post will be of some other shots from here and I plan on trying some different techniques with regards to post processing. Stay thirsty my friends!thanks to Melanie ( )for feedback and input on this and the one I’ll post next 😊 .

One thing I hope we all get out of this quarantine/isolation, is a slightly healed planet earth. The emissions have dropped for sure since driving is down. This pic was taken yesterday on a trip to the rogue gorge. It is the beautiful lost creek lake. Hope y’all are having a beautiful day!
