Over the next several days, I’ll be sharing tips to help first-time homebuyers prepare for the home buying process and avoid some of the most common mistakes that can delay or even prevent them from purchasing a home.

🚗 Don’t Buy a New Car

People ignore this advice all the time and then find out they don’t qualify for the amount they were hoping for.

Buy the house first. Then buy the car.
I repeat…

🏡 House first.
🚗 Car second.

That $600 car payment you just took on is now $600 that can’t be used toward qualifying for a house payment.

Today we stopped by to see Haley with Scott’s Hollow Sourdough and picked up some amazing chocolate chip pecan cookies and Italian cheese sourdough bread. Let me tell you… neither disappointed! 😋

Haley regularly sets up at the corner of 89th and Harrah-Newalla Road, and it’s definitely worth the stop. Fresh sourdough bread, homemade treats, and friendly service make it an easy recommendation.
