Legal tip of the week: In Oklahoma every auto insurance policy has to have underinsured/uninsured coverage. This covers you if you get in a car wreck with someone with no insurance or not enough insurance. Every policy comes with it by law, unless, you signed a UM rejection when you get the policy. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER reject UM. Most drivers in Oklahoma have $25,000.00 insurance, which is the minimum. If you get in a wreck with someone with only $25,000 and you get hurt badly, they only have to pay you $25,000.00. That's it. If you have UM, your policy has to cover the rest! Always get UM!

Gotcher & Beaver is open and just like you we are taking precautions. We know that your legal needs are important and we will be here through all of this to help you in any way that we can. We are seeing new clients in the office as necessary and are in contact with existing clients by phone or email. If you need to speak with Warren, Jeremy, Ellen, Shelly, Nancy, Cindy or Mary call 918-423-0412. Even if we aren't in the office our cell phones will receive your call. Or, you can send a text to the same number, 918-423-0412, and provide your name and who you need to speak with and someone will call you back.

The courthouse has effectively been closed as of today but new cases and motions can still be filed as needed. If you need representation on a new case we can file whatever needs to be filed by fax or email, but of course it may be longer than usual to get a court date. New criminal cases will proceed mostly as usual, bonds will be set and first court appearances will be set out several weeks.
