Victory -affirmed! Rather than settle our adversary spent years challenging us. Our request for counsel fees -granted by arbitration-has been confirmed by the court. Would’ve been less expensive to settle at our demand!

Cases move quickly in Bankruptcy court- if a debtor or their attorney fails to submit requested evidence, the Trustee can move to have the matter dismissed- papers submitted within days of deadlines, and matter dismissed within the week. Per diem lessons. Glad I'm not that debtor's attorney.

Be careful to control your temper! In court this morning, a year long full stay away order of protection issued against a man who argued with his landlord's contractor in the yard of his home- in favor of the contractor. All you have to do is say something threatening, and such an order will be granted. It's called menacing, and it's a misdemeanor. Such threats are taken very seriously. If you've been so charged, I can help.

between 3:30 and 4 p.m.- over twenty five minutes, dialing and redialing the Administration Dept in Kings County Surrogates Court- phone rings til it hangs up on you. Call another department- get told there's nothing they can do from their office- just keep trying. And clients wonder why they get billed for "quick" phone calls.

This week, I received an unfavorable decision following arbitration. Trial de novo, here we come. Perhaps the judge will keep better control.

Just received a decision out of Nassau Supreme Court- I successfully opposed an insurer's motion for summary judgment denying coverage under an insured's policy! The "big guy" doesn't always win.
