Mediation can sometimes be the better way to solve a problem. Think of the expense, time, and energy it would take to endure litigation in court. More and more people are turning to mediation to help them dissolve their marriages, create parenting time schedules, and a resolve a host of legal problems. You get to the bottom of things much more quickly and for a lot less money. Langhals Law has two attorneys who are certified Ohio Supreme Court mediators. It's an option that is certainly worth checking out.

I attended the Ribbon Cutting ceremony for Hoops Academy in Delaware, OH today. It's a great facility for basketball players to learn the game and sharpen their skills at every level from junior high to high school to college. The automatic rebounding machines are awesome! I wish we had those back in the day!

This question comes up a lot: At what age does a child get to pick who they live with?
The answer is: There is no age at which a child gets to pick who they live with. There are two reasons for this. 1.) Courts don't want children to be caught in the middle of court cases. 2.) Courts realize children can be fickle and could demand to live with a particular parent due to minor inconveniences (like discipline or chores - because one parent is less strict than the other).
A child's opinion is a factor a Court will consider, though. It is one of 10 factors a Court considers. You can find those factors by searching Ohio Revised Code Section 3109.04(F).
