Tonight I did something that felt both exciting and a little scary…

I walked into a networking event in Snellville not representing a company… but representing myself.

Years ago, when I worked at Florida International University in Career Services, my director told me something that stuck with me:

“It takes about a year of consistently showing up before people recognize your name.”

Back then I was promoting a university.

Today I’m building my own brand, my own relationships, and my own business here in Snellville.

New state.
New city.
New network.

So tonight I showed up.
