✅ Big News for Future Homebuyers!

There’s a major change coming to how credit scores are used for mortgage approvals — and it could open the door to homeownership for more buyers.

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) has officially approved VantageScore 4.0 for use by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, marking the first real competition to the traditional FICO score.

So what does that mean for you?
👉 A broader look at your financial story.
VantageScore 4.0 considers things like rent, utility, and phone payment history — not just credit cards and loans. That’s great news for renters, younger buyers, or anyone with a limited credit history who has still shown consistent on-time payments.

👉 A more inclusive path to homeownership.
Experts estimate this change could unlock up to $1 trillion in new lending opportunities, helping more people qualify for a mortgage.

👉 Change takes time.
Although VantageScore has been approved, it won’t roll out overnight. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are still updating their systems before lenders start using it — so expect the shift to take a while.

In the meantime, keep making those on-time rent and utility payments — they could soon make a real difference when you apply for a home loan! 🏡💪
