Bring the kids out for some music, crafts, and fun!

Families are invited to make some noise at the Marietta History Center’s Music of Marietta Pop-In for Family Fun on Saturday, September 19th. Held on the 3rd Saturday of every month, Pop-Ins offer an exciting opportunity for children and their families to engage with the museum through themed crafts and activities.

Families will engage with an instrument “petting zoo,” live music in the galleries, and other lyrical and rhythm-based crafts and interactive activities.

Twenty-five years ago today, our country came together in a way that's hard to put into words.

Here at Cauthorn Sanders & Schmidt, we're taking a moment to pause and remember. We think of the lives lost that day, the families who have carried that loss for a quarter century now, and the first responders who ran toward danger when every instinct would have said to run the other way.

We also think about what came after: a community, a state, and a country that found ways to show up for each other. That spirit is still something we see here in Marietta and across Cobb County every day, and it's part of why we're grateful to call this community home.

Today, we remember. Tomorrow, we keep showing up for the people around us, the way so many did twenty-five years ago.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and today is International Day of Charity, a fitting time to shine a light on the Mighty Millie Foundation.

The foundation was founded in honor of Millie Mracek, a little girl whose bright spirit inspired her family to turn their grief into action. Mighty Millie now supplies organic freezer pops to children's cancer treatment centers across the country, creating small moments of joy during hospital stays, and funds research into more effective, less toxic treatment options for childhood cancer.

Brittany Schmidt recently attended a fundraiser supporting the foundation and the firm made a donation in support of their mission.

Throughout September, you may notice gold ribbons and gold decor at local restaurants and businesses, gold being the color for childhood cancer awareness. When you see it, consider stopping in, asking about the cause, or donating directly to organizations like Mighty Millie doing this work.
