🚨 BREAKING: Student loan rules are changing on July 1, 2026.
If you have federal student loans, you need to understand what's happening before that date.
The SAVE repayment plan is gone. Two new plans replace it: IBR and RAP.
Under RAP, forgiveness takes 30 years, which is 10 years longer than most existing IDR plans.
If you're currently on an income-driven plan or pursuing Public Service Loan Forgiveness, log into the Federal Student Aid website right now and confirm your enrollment status.
The borrowers who get hurt are the ones who assumed nothing changed.
