‎On May 28, 2026, the White House launched Aliens.gov, an immigration enforcement tracking website hosted on the official White House domain. The site uses UFO-themed visuals and launched with the tagline “They Walk Among Us.”

✅ Here is what it actually does:

📌 It publishes an interactive map powered by ICE data showing arrest activity across the United States, making enforcement operations publicly visible in real time.

📌 Anyone can search by location and pull details, including arrest dates, countries of origin, criminal charges, and alleged gang affiliations.

📌 It runs a live counter tracking the number of immigrants encountered by U.S. immigration authorities.

📌 It invites the public to submit tips to ICE about suspected immigration violations.

✅ Most strikingly, a section of the site refers to immigrants using the pronoun “it,” stating: “If you’ve witnessed an Alien abduction, do not be alarmed. We will take care of it … and return it safely to its place of origin.”

📌 Referring to human beings as “it” is derogatory and dehumanizing.

📌 And this is an official U.S. government website.

✅ The White House says the site is meant to highlight enforcement efforts. What it actually does is place this language on a .gov website while publicly displaying information about immigrants and immigration enforcement activity.

On June 1, 2026, it was reported that the U.S. Department of State is considering a plan to reorganize visa processing across Africa by consolidating services into approximately 20 regional visa-processing hubs.

‎✅ The proposal would reduce the number of U.S. embassies and consulates that conduct routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa interviews.

‎✅ Certain visa applicants could be directed to designated regional hubs that would handle applications from multiple countries.

‎✅ If implemented, applicants in some countries may need to travel internationally to attend visa interviews or complete other parts of the visa process.

‎📌 The proposal has not been finalized, and no official implementation date has been announced.

‎On April 28, 2026, the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) issued a precedential decision in Matter of Mills, 29 I&N Dec. 668 (BIA 2026).

‎✅ The BIA held that an Immigration Judge made a mistake in granting cancellation of removal to a lawful permanent resident because the person’s extensive criminal history outweighed the positive factors in the case.

‎✅ The case involved a lawful permanent resident who was seeking cancellation of removal, a form of relief that may allow certain green card holders to avoid deportation.

‎✅ The BIA explained that Immigration Judges must balance negative factors, such as criminal history, against positive factors, often called “equities.”

‎✅ Positive factors may include:

‎📌 Family ties in the United States
‎📌 Long-term residence in the United States
‎📌 Employment history
‎📌 Community involvement
‎📌 Evidence of rehabilitation

‎✅ The BIA found that the positive factors in the case were not strong enough to outweigh the person’s criminal history.

‎✅ As a result, the BIA vacated the Immigration Judge’s decision and ordered the respondent removed or deported from the United States.

06/03/2026

‎On June 1, 2026, it was reported that the Trump administration is developing a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) proposal that would allow USCIS to reject certain asylum applications without first interviewing applicants.

‎✅ The proposal is intended to reduce the growing backlog of pending asylum cases.

‎✅ USCIS currently has approximately 1.5 million pending affirmative asylum applications.

‎✅ Immigration courts currently have approximately 3.3 million pending cases, including about 2.3 million asylum claims.

‎✅ The proposal focuses on asylum applications filed more than one year after an applicant’s arrival in the United States.

‎✅ Currently, asylum officers generally conduct interviews before determining whether an applicant qualifies for asylum or whether an exception to the one-year filing deadline applies.

‎✅ Under the proposed plan, USCIS officers could review applications before scheduling an interview and determine whether the case appears barred by the one-year filing deadline.

‎✅ If USCIS concludes that an application is subject to the filing deadline and no exception applies, the case could be denied without an asylum interview.

‎📌 Applicants whose cases are rejected would be referred to removal proceedings before an immigration judge.

‎📌 The proposal has not yet been implemented and remains under development.
