Darren Kayal successfully defended his client last week in a Monmouth County jury trial. The plaintiff was a 29 year old with a recommendation for lumbar surgery. Liability was stipulated. The plaintiff also used Twitter, and this was one of the tweets introduced into evidence.
The jury returned a unanimous no cause verdict in 15 minutes.

Darren Kayal reverses trial court ruling in a reported appellate division opinion.

A split panel determined a policy exemption meant underinsured motorist coverage only applies to vehicles specifically mentioned in a policy.
