All Voters may vote at any poll site. All poll sites are accessible to voters with with physical disabilities. Voters who can cast a ballot during early voting will not be allowed to vote on Election Day. Voters who have applied for an Early Vote by Mail or Absentee Ballot are not permitted to vote on the voting machines, but may be issued an Affidavit Ballot.

ACCIDENT SCENE PHOTOS CAN SAVE THE DAY IF YOU’VE BEEN HURT IN AN ACCIDENT!

If you, a family member or friend gets hurt in an auto accident or a fall due to a hazardous condition, don’t forget to immediately take photos or video of the accident scene. Preserving photo evidence might be the difference between winning and losing!

A recent New York appeals court decision proves the point. In Guzman v. State of New York, the injured party claimed she fell on cracked and uneven pavement in the parking lot of a rest stop along I-87 in Saratoga County. The fall happened, she said, on a dry and clear day. But photos and video of the accident scene were not obtained until the day after the accident, by which time the hole in the pavement had become filled with rainwater. The claimant lost her case at trial, and the appeals court agreed, writing that the photo and video evidence, taken a day after the accident when conditions had clearly changed, “prevented the (trial) court from conducting a proper visual examination” of the alleged defect in the parking lot.

Most of us never leave home without our cell phones – meaning we’re traveling with a perfect camera that can be used to immediately obtain photo and video evidence of an accident scene!
