Another happy client. Our NYC move on Tuesday night is all unpacked, pictures are hung and bed is made!!! She is now ready to relax and enjoy her new home and community and doesn’t need to worry about unpacking.

Great job by the ladies at PorchLight! They delicately unpacked and decorated with all the client’s dolls and bears.

We all want to think that our prize processions will be inherited and treasured with the same regard we gave to our things. The truth is the younger generation has its own wants. Often times the older generation has held onto things that the younger generation no longer needs, let alone wants. What they do want is quality time, to hear your stories and maybe one or two mementoes to cherish, but they don't want your attic full of old clothes and china. What to do with all those things you held on to? Call a Senior Move Manager to help you sort through your possessions, to find the cherished trinkets homes and respectfully re-home the rest.

start with one area such as a drawer or shelf or cabinet, pull everything out or into view, check expiration dates and ask yourself when was the last time you used the item whether functionally or decoratively. If you don't use it, haven't used it 6 months or its expired... consider donating the item and or if appropriate recycling or tossing.
