🏢⭐WE CAN FINALLY SHARE THIS PROJECT!⭐🏢

Saddle up, ya'll. It's story time.

2020 was the year where we were told to keep away from one another, stay inside, and be safe at all costs. So naturally, we decided to buy a big ol' project building, lock ourselves in, and approach a mountain of work in the company of our small team. We had big dreams for this special building, and got to work quickly. We knew going into it that it was daunting, but we slowly started to meet some of the neighboring businesses and residents. They expressed such high regard for what we were doing to this staple building. Even with all the support we received, this project definitely broke us. Our bodies and minds quickly depleated with just a paper thin hope that this would all be worth it in the end.
Cue our future tenants and friends at Amp Strategy. We had the pleasure of meeting this incredible group of women and learned all about the hope for their future success with an already thriving and growing company. Together, we worked towards creating a design for a space that they could fall in love with every single day. We put everything we had into building a space that latched on to the charm and history but still showcased a modern area for such a contemporary company.
2021 began quickly as we signed 2 new leases for our apartments on the second floor. Again, we were beyond fortunate to have individuals that trusted our vision while walking through a completely unfinished space. They showed patience as we finished the place they would soon call home.
We kicked into one final overdrive and gave every ounce of energy and spirit we had left.
Now, almost exacly 1 year later, we had the pure pleasure of enjoying the first public open house for Amp Strategy and taking one gigantic breath out as we stand back and say, "we did it."
MANY thanks are in order. A big thank you to our parents, Joyce Dale Karkan , for every long hour spent with us and every bit of help you gave, and Nancy Bock Jaros (and Ralph) for the ongoing support and helping hands. Thank you to Rockne's Pub Akron for being incredible neighbors, encouraging us, and filling our empty stomachs on so many late nights. Thank you to our wonderful tenants and friends, Amp Strategy , for your pateince and belief in us to deliver a place for you to skyrocket an even bigger and better business. Thank you to one of our biggest advocates, Mark Greer and Great Streets Akron for allowing us to make this dream a reality, and to transform this building into a true point of pride for the community we're now so happily a part of. Thank you to the talented Art Bomb Brigade for adding a one-of-a-kind mural that pays perfect homage to the past, present, and future of 21 Merriman. To everyone else that lended a hand, offered words of encouragement, and helped us to reach this point, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
